Easy Outdoor Kids Christmas Tree Decoration

There are so many fun kids Christmas tree decorations out there this time of year, but I wanted to come up with a kids Christmas tree decoration that could be done outside.

It’s that time of year where I’m feeling a bit more crafty than usual.

Mainly so my kids can have something fun to do at home during the Christmas season.

So I found this adorable Costa Farms Live Christmas Tree from the store that can be placed inside or out (as long as there’s no frost expected and it’s not in direct sunlight), and thought it would be fun for the kids to decorate.

I don’t have too many traditions and wanted to come up with something unique for the kids to decorate this Christmas.

Having their very own kids Christmas tree made them feel extremely involved in the decorating process.

So mamas, if you’re worried about your little ones breaking or damaging ornaments from trying to help you decorate the Christmas tree, this kids Christmas tree DIY, will help solve that issue.

This isn’t an ordinary tree so I think that works for being something unique and super easy to do. Anyways, lets get to how the kids decorated it!

It was very simple and you will just need a few decorations of your choice.

Decorations You Will Need For The Tree

Simply allow your child to choose which ornaments he or she would like to use, and help them attach the ornament hooks to the ornaments.

Once all the ornaments are on the tree, help your child wrap the mini Christmas lights around the tree.

Depending on the tree, you can either place the tree inside or outside, so be sure to read the instructions for where your mini Christmas tree will do best.

That was one of the reasons I chose this tree, since it is able to remain outside as long as it’s not in direct sunlight or exposed to frost.

That’s it!

Very simple right?

We love simple DIYs and my littles enjoyed doing it outside. I love showing the awesome things they do so I placed their tree right at the front door outside.

We placed it by the front door so everyone could see how great they did.
How it looks lit up at night! These are the blue mini lights.

I hope you guys enjoy this easy Christmas DIY craft, and share it with your friends!
